The game begins in the middle of the story with Ray and Thomas pointing their guns at each other. William is lamenting on how things degenerated to the point where the two brothers became mortal enemies. The scene then shifts to the American Civil War where Ray is holding the line against Union soldiers at the Chattahoochee River, when he hears that the area Thomas is stationed is under attack. He then rushes to save his brother, but after they defeat the enemy they are ordered to retreat to Atlanta. They refuse because the line they are holding now is the last line of defense that protects their family's home. They desert their post to save their mother and younger brother William from the Union troops attacking their home. When they finally make it to their home, they realize their mother was killed and Ray promises to rebuild the house, promising that they will be a family again. Knowing their superior Colonel Barnsby will not let them off, they flee the town, bringing William with them.... |
